South Korea is an East Asian nation on the southern half of the Korean Peninsula and it shares one of the world’s most heavily militarized borders with North Korea. Moreover it’s equally known for its green, hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples, plus its coastal tropical islands, fishing villages and high-tech cities such as Seoul, the capital. Korea is a 750-mile-long (1,200 km long) peninsula located in the easternmost part of the Asian continent. Most of its wealth comes from manufacturing and service industries, such as banking. It exports ships, cars, computers, and other electronic items.

Seoul National University is the leading Institution in Pharmaceutical Science. According to report from Nature Index, South Korea ranks fifth among the ten nations in publication of articles. Numerous pharmaceutical science journals are published from South Korea with good reputation. Several leading institution in the country including Seoul National University, Sungkyunkwan University, Sungkyunkwan University, Hanyang University, Korea University Yonsei University and others are spearheading the pharmaceutical science research.
