National Institute of Cardiology (Instituto Nacional de Cardiologia Ignacio Chavez) founded in1994 by Dr. Ignacio Chávez Sánchez is the first such institute in the world. Now this Institute is managed by Ministry of Health of Mexico. It is a system of 12 Mexican hospitals that provide highly specialized services in the stream of cardiology. Besides this, Mexican Society of Cardiology and National Association of Cardiologists of Mexico also playing a crucial role in Cardiology research in the Mexico. In Mexico there are 750 000 patients living with cardio vascular complications and the problem is growing. Considering the problem all the Mexican institutes, societies are working together to support the research on cardiology. The Volume of articles published by Mexicans in various cardiology journals internationally will clearly denote the amount of research in the country.
